Fiber-Optic Broadband Brings Speed to 16 Libraries

Patrons at 16 Westmoreland County libraries are experiencing the benefits of a fiber-optic network since DQE began providing service. This marked improvement in download speed is attributed to an upgrade through the Westmoreland Library Network. The Westmoreland network laid the groundwork for broadband service by recently rewiring county libraries for increased internet capacity.
