PITTSBURGH, July 15, 2026 – DQE Communications today announced the appointment of Jeff Garte as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Jeff will further strengthen DQE’s executive leadership team as the company continues expanding its fiber network and delivering high-performance connectivity solutions throughout Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.
Garte brings more than 25 years of executive financial leadership across the telecommunications, fiber infrastructure, and connectivity industries. Throughout his career, he has led finance organizations, supported transformational growth initiatives, executed complex mergers and acquisitions, secured strategic financing, and partnered with executive teams to drive operational excellence and long-term value creation. Most recently, he served as Head of U.S. Transit and Government Solutions. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Boldyn Networks, where he helped lead major infrastructure investments, strategic financing initiatives, and business transformation efforts supporting large-scale fiber and wireless deployments. Prior to Boldyn, Garte has also held senior leadership positions at Globecomm, Hibernia Networks, AboveNet, and Evercore Partners.

As CFO, Garte will oversee DQE’s finance organization, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, procurement, reporting, and strategic financial initiatives. He will partner closely with the executive leadership team to support DQE’s continued growth, strengthen operational performance, and help position the company for long-term success.
